Arts in the Park Series

Canton Parks & Recreation received a grant from ArtsinStark to offer several art programs in Canton's Parks. All of the art programs are funded by ArtsinStark.

Jammin' with the Canton Symphony

Take this opportunity to make your own recycled musical instrument with the help of the Canton Symphony Staff, followed by a performance from the Symphony ensemble! Participants will get to keep their instruments and play along with part of the performance! Register here for the event.

Pottery in the Parks w/Massillon Museum
Experience Nimisilla Park in a whole new way. Participants will discover the rich history and art of Northeast Ohio Native Americans while learning to make their own pottery. The program will be led by Massillon Museum staff. Pottery making on Aug. 6th and pottery painting and pick-up on Aug. 20th.

*If participants cannot come to Aug. 20th class to paint their pottery, they can pick up their pottery at the Massillon Museum by Saturday, Sept. 10th, during museum hours.
Date/Time: Saturday, August 6th & Saturday, August 20th from 1-3 PM. Register here for this program.
