PCS Fest
Coming Saturday, October 11th, 2014

Stark County, Ohio -- On Saturday October 11, 2014 from 10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. Plain Township, The City of Canton, and Stark County Park District will be hosting "PCS Fest". The event will run from Schneider Park in Plain Township to Schreiber Park in the City of Canton and using the Middlebranch Trail as connecting points and travel.

The event is geared towards health and wellness by encouraging families to use the parks systems and trail heads by being active. ArtsInStark will be securing entertainment and stationing different groups along the trail and at the parks. Plain Township will have food vendors including John's Gyro King and DeStefano's offering various items and non-alcoholic beverages for purchase, and various youth and adult based activities including the North Canton YMCA and opportunities offered through the Plain Township Fire Department.

The City of Canton Parks and Recreation will offer kayak rides with Ernie's Bike Shop beginning at Martindale Park, hayrides at Reifsnyder Park, touch a truck experiences, and youth recreational activities at both Schreiber and Martindale Park. Food vendors that include George's Lounge and Rhyne's Rack as well as entertainment will also be available at Schreiber Park. The Stark County Park District is also a partner in the event and the Middlebranch trail makes a safe and wonderful traffic route between connector points. Gervasi Vineyard will have its Gelato Cart on the trail offering some of its tasty treats.
