Ice Skating at Monument Park
By Theresa Gang
Released/Published: Jan 23, 2015

The Canton Joint Recreation District and Canton Park Commission want to remind all park users of our ice skating policy. The only city park body of water that allows ice skating is the pond at Monument Park. Park users can identify whether or not the ice is suitable for skating by checking the skate safety light. The light is located near the pond at the intersection of 12th Street NW and Monument Park Drive. If the light is green, that means the ice is safe to skate on; if the light is red, the ice is not safe for skating. If those wishing to ice skate have any questions or concerns, please call the Canton Joint Recreation District or Canton Parks at 330-456-4521
