SUBJECT: Impaired Driving Enforcement Program - DSOGPO Blitz
DATE: September 1st through September 3rd, 2018

The Canton Police Department will increase traffic enforcement patrols in the city during the listed dates of September 1st through September 3rd, 2018, during the Nation-wide Drive Sober Or Get Pulled Over (DSOGPO) Traffic Enforcement Campaign.  Officers will be focusing on reducing the incidents of operating a vehicle while intoxicated, as well as speeding, failure to use occupant restraint devices, and intersection control violations.  The enforcement goal is to reduce traffic related fatalities and injuries.  Funding for the program is made possible through a grant from the Ohio Department of Public Safety.
