City of Canton to Celebrate Arbor Day on Saturday, May 3
The city is observing its first annual Arbor Day Celebration.

CANTON, Ohio — 

On Saturday, May 3, the city will observe its first annual Arbor Day Celebration. The event will take place in Nimisilla Park from 10AM to 3PM. The event will be held rain or shine.

The event is open to the public and families with children are encouraged to attend as there will be tree planting, hayrides, crafts, and food and beverages.

WHO:           The City of Canton, in conjunction with Canton Parks and the Canton Tree Commission

WHAT:         Canton City’s First Annual Arbor Day Celebration

WHEN:         Saturday, May 3, 2014, from 10AM to 3PM

WHERE:       Nimisilla Park

                     1000 The O’Jay’s Parkway NE, Canton

WHY:           To bring the community together in celebration of Arbor Day and to establish an annual event

                     within the city.
