Water Advisory
Water Main Outage at Harrison Avenue - 17th Street

Released/Published: Jan 4, 2016
CANTON, Ohio —

A construction crew performing work on the Hall of Fame Village Project damaged a water main today on Harrison Avenue NW. This resulted in a major water main break which has primarily affected the Hall of Fame and McKinley High School. McKinley High School closed early today, and Canton City Schools has not yet determined whether school will be in session at the high school tomorrow. Canton City Schools will make this determination as soon as possible and will notify parents and students of any cancellation using their standard communication protocol.

Approximately eight residents will be affected on 17th Street between Broad Street and Clarendon Street, NW. The Water Department will be personally reaching out to the affected residences, going door-to-door to notify them of the outage.

Crews are currently on scene to complete repairs and will work throughout the evening to resolve the issue.

For additional information, please contact William L. Bartos, Director of Public Service.
