Only the amount of funding necessary to correct the home repair will be awarded per household. Health, safety and code violations will be used to prioritize the repairs needed.
Detached garages and accessory structures do not qualify for this program.
Housing constructed prior to 1978 that is rehabilitated using CDBG funds is subject to the Lead Base Paint Poisoning Prevention Act and the Residential Lead Based Paint Hazard Reduction Act of 1992. A lead-based paint clearance will be required for any disturbed painted surfaced that may exceed HUD de minimis levels (24CFR §35.1350(d)).
