Cellular Telephone Policy
The City of Canton is aware that employees use City-owned or personal cellular phones and other similar devices including, but not limited to Personal Digital Assistants, pagers, etc for personal benefit.
City Employee Internet Policy
The City of Canton reserves the right to monitor and log all network activity including e-mail, with or without notice.
Computer Networks & Communications Policy
The City furnishes computers and related services solely for use in the conduct of City business. All information, messages, transmitted or stored on said computers and network resources are the property of the City.
Employee Work Rules
Falsification of any reports, report-offs pertaining to absence from work, claims pertaining to injuries occurring on City premises, claims for any benefits provided by the City, communications or records including personnel and work records.
Password Security / Hardware / Software Policy
As a requirement of the State Auditor, all information contained in City files or on the City’s network must be secure from unauthorized access or use. This policy is meant to maintain the accuracy and integrity of information stored in all files on the City’s network.
Travel Expense Policy
Elected officials, appointed officers and employees of the City shall be entitled to reimbursement of expenses incurred by them while on City business at the rates set forth herein.
