9/11 Remembrance Ceremony
Event Date: 2009-09-11

Firefighters, police officers, and safety personnel who served or lost their lives during or in the aftermath of the September 11, 2001 attacks upon the World Trade Center, the Pentagon, and the crash-landing of hijacked Flight 93 in Pennsylvania will be honored during the ceremony.  The victims of the attacks will also be remembered during the event.

City water reclamation facility earns top national honor four years in a row

Mayor William Healy announced Wednesday that the City of Cantonís Water Reclamation Facility recently earned the National Association of Clean Water Agencies (NACWA) Gold Peak Performance Award for the fourth straight year. The Gold Peak Performance Award was presented to the Water Reclamation Facility for its achievement of 100% compliance with its National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) permits for 2008, which control the discharge of harmful materials into natural water sources and ecosystems.
