CANTON, Ohio – The Office of Mayor Thomas M. Bernabei is pleased to announce the City of Canton’s Independence Day fireworks will be held at the McKinley Presidential Library & Museum on Monday, July 4. The Monument grounds will open at 7:00 PM. Entertainment, including En-Rich-Ment, The Bluecoats Drum and Bugle Corps and The Bluecoats Alumni Corps, is scheduled to begin at 7:30 PM. The fireworks display will begin at approximately 9:50 pm. The fireworks staging area will be adjacent to the McKinley Monument.
This year The Bluecoats Drum and Bugle Corps celebrate their 50th Anniversary and have planned an amazing season, including a national tour and a collection of local events that brings the Bluecoats home to celebrate, including The Bluecoats’ July 4th Extravaganza at the McKinley Presidential Monument. The Extravaganza will consist of 550 Bluecoats, including alumni from all five decades joining in the fun and performing alongside the Bluecoats Drum and Bugle Corps at a once-in-a-lifetime performance!
“I look forward to the community coming together and celebrating our Independence with the traditional Monumental Fourth fireworks display at the beautiful William McKinley Presidential Library & Museum. I am excited for this year’s entertainment with the award-winning Bluecoats Drum and Bugle Corps and Alumni band. It is going to be spectacular!” said Mayor Bernabei.
