There are a wide variety of resources - both public and private - that exist to help companies invest in the City of Canton.  We have attempted to place all of these resources in one place to meet your re-location, expansion, and site selection needs quickly and efficiently!

  • Akron-Canton Airport - Canton's closest passenger airport, a short ten minutes from downtown.  Also includes Foreign Trade Zone.

  • Canton Regional Chamber of Commerce - An advocate for businesses (both current and future), the Chamber can help your company with community exposure, business leads, legislative work, networking, relocation assistance, and more!

  • Canton Small Business Development Center - Sponsored by the U.S. Small Business Administration and the Ohio Department of Development, this program will help individuals start, sustain, and grow their businesses.

  • Clean Ohio Fund (Brownfield Redevelopment) - The Clean Ohio Fund restores, protects, and connects Ohio's important natural and urban places by preserving green space and farmland, improving outdoor recreation, and by cleaning up brownfields to encourage redevelopment and revitalize communities.

  • Fund for our Economic Future - The Fund for Our Economic Future unites philanthropy in Northeast Ohio to strengthen the region's economic competitiveness through grantmaking, research and civic engagement.

  • Jumpstart - JumpStart funds high-growth businesses and ideas, works with their founders to develop the businesses into venture-ready entities and simultaneously celebrates Northeast Ohio's early-stage company successes.

  • Minority Business Development Program - The Minority Business Enterprise Division aids in the creation of a business environment in Ohio sensitive to the particular needs of minority business enterprises and assists in their growth and development.

  • NEOTEC (Foreign Trade Zone #181) - The Northeast Ohio Trade and Economic Consortium (NEOTEC) is an economic development partnership formed to promote trade, business growth and economic opportunities throughout Northeast Ohio.  NEOTEC manages Foreign Trade Zone 181 and conducts regional economic development activities on behalf of the 10-county JOED.

  • Stark Development Board - Stark County, Ohio is on the move.  With a strong workforce with talent and experience, affordable housing, excellent educational institutions, and fun activities and events for the whole family, it's easy to see why businesses would want to develop in Stark County.

  • Team NEO - Team NEO markets Northeast Ohio to attract business investment in targeted industry clusters. A joint venture of the largest metro chambers, representing 4 million people in 16 counties, Team NEO serves as a central resource to inform and serve those considering investment in Northeast Ohio. They assist companies that want to expand in NEO, move new operations to NEO, or need a new location within NEO.

  • The Finance Fund - Working primarily within low-income rural and urban communities, we connect local community development organizations and small businesses with needed funding in the form of grants, loans, and nontraditional financial products.
